Biography:
I have been writing poetry since an early age and I won my first poetry award at age 12. I
started writing seriously at age 18 and have not stopped since.
I have been published in several poetry anthologies over the years and several periodicals. I
have over 200 poems published online and have won over 20 online poetry competitions. I
also have my own poetry website, http://www.wordsongs.com .
I have one self-published poetry book, which I published in 1992. I also make my own
handmade books at home; all designed, printed and hand bound by me. I have two books so
far and am working on my third. I am doing this because I have enough material for over 20
books, so I am doing them one at a time. I use these as tools at poetry readings and also offer
them for sale. My second book is called S.O.S. Songs Of Sobriety. It is about my own recovery
process in my first ten years of recovery and is aimed at anyone in the recovery process or on
a spiritual path.
I grew up in California and my wife and I retired to Eugene about four years ago. We love our
life here in beautiful Oregon. (Winter 2011)
