Marj's Diary

A diary written by Marjorie Hays
in the 1950's
There comes a time in everyone's every day life that he or she would like to express their
very own personal views and opinions of an assortment of ideas; yet reluctant to relate or
write these opinions to anyone else -- that's the reason all of us aren't as democratic as we
should be; for often some one else's ideas and opinions are laughed and sneered upon.

So, in the following 365 odd pages, I am going to do a written version of some of my
own reflections. I may never have an audience or a reader; but I shall feel relieved and
freer for having exploded a lot of pent up ideas. You, who do read them, may not agree
with me; but that is your privilege and you have my sanction to tear any page out and burn
for paper must be getting scarce, the amount we burn every day, at our house alone must
tax the producers.

My English, spelling, expression, and punctuation have been getting very smelly and
stale. By writing a few lines each day, I will or should keep these essentials in better health.
Here is hoping some one benefits as this will take a good many hours and some will
power to keep up.
