An artist must be free
Or it isn’t really art, you see.
An artist must express,
If even to depress.
There can be no law
On how to write or draw.
Their own expression,
An original creation,
A personal interpretation,
Can have no direction.
To create from within
Is a gift, not a sin.
For themselves it is done
And also for everyone
To share in the pleasure
Of creating a treasure.
So try to appreciate
All those who create.
Encourage them a lot
For thinking outside the box.
