Have you ever heard of a fish named “Dog” or a dog
named “Cat” or a cat named “Frog?”
I’ve never heard of a fish named “Dog” or a dog named “Cat”
or a cat named frog.
Those silly names, they make no sense, they make me
frown, they make me tense.
Just think of it, if it were real. How would it make
those poor folks feel?
Fish with dog food in its bowl. Cat chasing a cat up a
pole.
Oh, it would never do if you were me and I were you.
Where would this madness ever stop it top was bottom
and bottom was top?
This whole thing turns me upside down; my frown’s a
smile, my smile’s a frown.
Oh dear, Oh dear, this is not clear; the words are
bouncing off my ear.
You say the bottom is the top? Oh, please don’t do this’
please, please, stop!
Oh mercy me, I think you’re right. Our words are
spinning out of sight.
We cannot stop; the change goes on. The night is
morning; the morning is gone.
The morning is gone? Where did it go? It was here
with us just a minute ago.
I’m going home; this cannot be. I won’t be you, you
can’t be me.
So, take your fish, whose name is “Dog,” and take your dog
whose name is “Cat,”
And tell them that is simply that.
