There’s a fascination with boats
Of course, the ones that float.
They’re used for transportation,
Sometimes with goods to destinations.

Pulling skiers a special kind,
Deep keeled to keep you in line.
Exhilarating to run rivers
And all kinds made for fishers.

Powering a boat is varied,
Sometimes they’re even carried.
To enjoy the quiet outdoors
It’s paddles or maybe oars.

If wind is to be your thrust,
Joining with nature is a must.
All kinds of motors to propel,
Specific jobs each does so well.

Lots of power if you want to race,
Or less to fish at just the right pace.
Gas or electric, it’s up to you,
The varied choices are not a few.

Only one way to construe,
You have to admit it’s true,
For the guys who love what floats,
There’s no such thing as too many boats.
